Great place. Bread and pastries are wonderful.

A few reviewers don't seem to understand their role in acquiring a high-quality product. This is not a supermarket, and if the product they prepared for that day sells out... It's out. And that's the way it is. You cannot demand a high quality product willy-nilly because it takes time and care to create, and that's impressively how Ben rolls. Pun intended.

This experience and the lack of customer service is what has driven me to give this a poor rating. Whatever was on the shelf looked good however that doesn't mean you don't put in any effort into customer service.

Lovely place to come and eat. Breads and pastries are very delicious. Don't expect a wide selection, and don't expect to get what you want, at times, as he does sell out of certain product. Beautiful aroma from bakery when walking through the Cannery

If that's an issue... I'm going to suspect you're a little spoiled. I'm looking at you, Helen.

That being said, the review highlighting the "tour" of your meal is accurate. You will get one if you seem genuinely interested and Ben, the chef, will come out and check. It's inspirational to find a chef who cares so deeply about his craft.

My guy and I were there today and we did not have a good experience at this bakery shop. The shelf was almost empty, barely nothing to choose from, and the owner did not have the best attitude towards our inquiries about food he serves for the day. My boyfriend was nice to him but his attitude towards him was quite stinky the entire time. We went there because the rating was great but we both were quite disappointed after the visit. This place is not worth you time people.

Then I asked if they have breakfast, he said we are serving lunch from 11 am and upon asking whats for lunch I was pointed out the door to a menu outside saying its on the menu.

Empty shelves, when asked what kind of bread they have I was pointed to the shelves and baskets 'whatevers on there'.

You are responsible for getting the product while it's available.

So far I've had the Ossobuko and the Pastrami sandwich. The pickles and veal made a magical pairing, but so far the Pastrami is the true winner. That sandwich is much more than a sandwich... It's an experience and it's forbidden to take it to go.

I tried to be friendly and introduced my self and asked the guys name. Even after this he was treating us like we were wasting his time.
