  Travelers beware! Being a seasoned traveler, I keep all my personal liquids in tiny containers, in a ziplock bag, in my carry-on. Yesterday, the Penticton Security Officer told me that my ziplock bag was bigger than the allowed bag. He then proceeded to take out "anything that touched my body"....I had to choose which ones to put in the airport bag and which to throw out. He sorted through all my personal effects in the line where everyone was passing by and watching. In Penticton, it seems, they are not just worried about liquids...they make you throw out face cream, barrier cream, lipstick, toothpaste, and even lip gloss!!! It was totally invasive and, in my opinion, completely unnecessary. I will do whatever I can to avoid flying out of Penticton in the future. I have traveled to more than 40 countries and I have never had anyone react to lipstick, lip gloss, or face cream before.

  I have travelled back and forth from Vancouver to Penticton approximately 12 times and the only time I have an issue is at the Penticton side. Overly controlling.

  Staff for check in were friendly... however the security was very rude and pushy. No need for that. So few of people go through at a time. My wife as treated like garbage. Totally unacceptable.
